Engica’s research and development team have focused on applications based on the Object Model for multi-tier system architecture. The route is now yielding mature agile products enabled for modern IT technology for the desktop, web and mobile based devices.

System Configuration

A core design goal of all Q4 systems is to provide you with a system that adapts to your process rather than forcing procedural change to match the software. The Q4 architecture allows the system to be configured to precise requirements using instruction sets that are utilized by the Q4 Engine.

Engica’s business software is centred around business processes, workflow and data entities. It is constructed with service applets that can be configured within the systems framework to allow a system to be quickly configured with the needed initial functionality, but as requirements change addition functionality provided can be added to the framework without disturbing the systems operation whilst offering smooth transition.

Security

Q4 systems offer advanced configurable security features extending to single sign on, security switching, role and skill matching. The Q4 architecture supports three security models with encryption. Methods employed include Windows Authentication, Q4 Authentication and Bespoke Authentication.

Multi-Language

Q4 systems are designed to work and switch instantly to multiple languages or can be configured with dual language displays and can have new languages added as required.

Integration

Because Engica’s Service-Orientated Component Architecture is an open design based on industry standards it allows other applications to be integrated with effective information interchange as well as allowing functionality to be triggered within the Q4 Applications. Q4 has been integrated with many systems including enterprise software packages, such as SAP®, E1® and others.

Database

Q4 can use either MS SQL Server or Oracle for data storage and retrieval and supports multi-site data segregation.
