Job Hazard Analysis Course
A practical course has been assembled to assist engineers and contrators to understand the principles of work hazards and mitigation of risks. The course features the use of Q4 with practical examples.

Sonangol - Safety System
Following a successful tender Sonangol have awarded Engica a contract to supply and implement the Q4 Integrated Safe System of Work system on its platforms and on shore facilities in Angola.

IUK - Dual Language Safety System
Following a successful tender IUK have awarded Engica a contract to supply and implement the Q4 Integrated Safe System of Work system on its gas transmission sites in Belgium and UK. A key requirement of the system was for the system to operate in Dutch and English languages with automatic language selection based on user profiles.

V7 Released
Q4 V7 has been released covering the full product range including Power, Safety and RCM. A series of functions have been augmented including operation on Vista and windows security authentification. Please contact our support department for full relase details.

Q4 V7 Release Targeted For User Day
We’re continuing to work hard at improving our Q4 range of maintenance, safety and logistics products on both a technical and functional level. These improvements contain customer suggestions as well as input from our own R&D department. Q4 V7 is currently undergoing system testing and we’re aiming to release it in February 2007. Details of new features will be presented at the User Forum in February.

More Job Safety Analysis Options
Engica’s safety development team continues to advance the Q4 Safety product in leaps and bounds both on its technical platform but equally on the application’s functionality. One of the initiatives we have undertaken is to offer optional methods of displaying job safety analysis (JSA) results or task risk assessments (TRA) and also supporting the prime risk assessment with supplementary risk assessments.

New Support Services Issue Tracker Reporting Facility
In Q4 V7 we have designed a new feature which provides feedback on the steps a user takes immediately prior to experiencing an issue they wish to report to support. The new tracking feature is normally disabled for performance reasons but can be switched on when reproducing a software event and it then records the menus and screens visited and produces an email which can be edited with further information about the issue prior to sending to Support.

Expanding Services - Certificated Safety Courses
Engica have established a strategic training partnership with Apix Consulting Ltd. Apix specialises in the provision of professional health, safety and environmental training and consultancy with the provision of nationally recognised safety, health and environmental qualifications. The courses provided include National General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH accreditations amongst others.

New Support Services Internet training
Our Support Department is in the final stages of developing short general training sessions for Q4 Modules which can be delivered over the internet at low cost compared to full-day training. Trainees will log into a web site (Gather Place) where an Engica Trainer will take them through a 1-2 hour session on how to operate Q4. Voice connection can either be through Skype or a normal telephony conference call and sessions are expected to be restricted to a small number of participants. We are in the initial phase of trialling the new course so if you’d like further information or to be part of the trial contact webtraining@engica.com

Naturkraft
Following a tender and a detailed system mapping survey of requirement, Naturkraft have awarded Engica a major contract to supply and implement the Q4 maintenance, safety and logistics system on Norway’s first gas power plant. A key requirement of the system was for the safety permit to work management system to fully comply with Norwegian OLF safety standards employed in the oil, gas and power industries.

SEPT 06
Greenergy
Engica are pleased to announce an order from Greenergy Biofuels Ltd for the Q4 systems including CMMS and Safety. The system shall be used to control maintenance and safety systems at the new Immingham facility where commissioning activities are already underway. The Plant will initially be capable of producing 100,000 tonnes / 115 million litres of biodiesel per annum and construction work to double the capacity has already commenced, making this one of the largest Biodiesel production facilities in the UK.
