CUSTOMIZATION

If you implement a Q4 system, you will know that you can use it to do almost any maintenance-related task that can be supported in software. Every business, however, is a bit different. There are occasions when a task can be made so much easier by changing some part of the software. Perhaps allowing the fault-reporting screen to pre-fill from a related online system would save hours of effort.

Perhaps a tightly tailored screen design will allow people who are little afraid of computers to accept the CMMS. Whatever the reason, customization can pay off handsomely.

Engica's systems allow customization in the same way that they allow integration - as a fundamental part of the design and of our business.

Our products allow us to tailor your system in a reasonable timescale without compromising your ability to upgrade. You can keep your new interface while we upgrade systems around it.

Just as importantly, our project-based approach involves working closely enough with our clients to ensure that any modifications to your system fit right in with the processes we are trying to support.

INTEGRATION

Integration is now critical to the smooth introduction of a CMMS system. Integration takes the power of a best-of-breed CMMS and amplifies it through the rest of the business. Engica is not content with pre-built, 'canned' integrations between specific versions of third-party products - we have been busy designing software that is fundamentally targeted at integration. You will want to integrate to other best of breed systems chosen by you, not chosen by us.

Our products have always been 'open', allowing free access to CMMS data and its presentation. Our three-tier Q4 architecture goes beyond that to provide real-time programming interfaces available to everyone with the appropriate skills. When development is complete it will be possible (but not sensible!) to develop an entire 'alternative' CMMS system form the APIs we provide.
