Q4 Power-X

Q4 Power-X is Engica's fully browser-based CMMS. It provides all the maintenance and Work order functionality that engineers need to get the maintenance job done. All interaction with the engineers is through a normal web browser. What is more, our unique and flexible software architecture will support browsers on any platform, including PDAs, laptops, PCs and many devices not yet available.

• Rich, mature functionality and design. A powerful and rich CMMS, drawing on Engica's years of experience in CMMS development

What you get

• Licenses for the Engica server software and as many concurrent users as you require. Concurrent usage means that as soon as a user logs off anywhere, the license becomes available for another user anywhere in the system.
• Optional SQL server/Oracle RDBMS access. For very small installations we supply a bundled database engine that requires no additional licenses and installation. For larger numbers of users, we offer SQL server and Oracle database access.
• Installation service. You may wish to have us build and configure a server for you, so that delivery to your site and installation becomes an extremely simple process.
• Other services

• Data import. We can take data you supply and do the technical parts of the import for you. If you wish, we can also help you directly with data cleaning and organization.
• Process review. In our experience, it is extremely important to have a clear picture of the specific engineering processes that our systems are to support. This allows us to configure the system exactly to your own practices. We can help you draw up the processes by facilitating "process mapping" sessions with your most knowledgeable engineers,
• User training. Generally, your own staff will train most effectively and we will ensure that your trainers are up to speed and supported, taking into account the process mapping exercises. Some clients do not have the resources to do training internally and we will then take on the entire training load.
• Customization. Some clients have very specific software requirements that cannot be met by any "off the shelf" products. For these, out technologies allow cost effective and upgrade safe customization to an agreed and written specification.

What you need

To implement a Q4 Power-X system on your Intranet, you will need:

• Client PCs or devices that contain an HTML based browser. These need not be Microsoft Windows based clients.
• A "web" server running Windows NT4 or Windows 2000, including IIS. If you wish, we can procure and build this for you.
• Optionally, a data server running Oracle or SQL server.
• Network access for the clients to the web server. This can be LAN, WAN or dial-up based.
• Methods and tools for server backup and maintenance.

What you don't need

• You don't need high specification or Windows based client PCs
• You don't need fast network access from the clients, a 28k modem works just fine.
• You don't need complex or time-consuming rollout strategies, all the software and data resides on the central server(s).
